Why is the night version available in black and white only? |
| |
A
black and white camera (or monochrome camera) is the only type of camera
that is sensitive to the infrared illumination. A color camera cannot
interpret infrared lighting so therefore the picture is completely
distorted. We are currently working on camera that will be color in the
daytime but will switch to monochrome for nighttime viewing but it is
not currently available. |
|
7.
Looking at some of the video stills taken at night, it looks like there
is a bright light shining on the animals eyes. Can they see this light? |
| |
The
light you see is the infrared lighting used for night time viewing. It
is being projected in a wavelength that is invisible to the human and
animal eye. Only the monochrome camera can detect the light. |
